Electric Vehicle Company is an Arizona corporation specializing in serving the needs of golf car and utility vehicle owners. We serve companies of all sizes, municipalities, school districts, resort hotels, shopping centers and individuals.  We build custom vehicles for specialty applications, as well as new and used golf cars for every conceivable use.

We provide service, maintenance and repairs for some of the valley’s largest companies. It is quite possible that the vehicles at your child’s school are serviced by Electric Vehicle Company. The water that comes from your tap is made possible, in part by our dedicated service technicians that keep the vehicles moving at your local water treatment plants.  The vehicles that move you through the airport terminals, help move tourists around our local resort hotels and maintain our shopping centers are serviced and maintained by Electric Vehicle Company.

Don’t be fooled by the “Electric” part of our name. We sell and service gas powered vehicles as well. We offer gas powered golf and utility vehicles for sport and industry for those applications where extended range is essential.

EVC (as we are known to most of our customers) was founded by M.S. “Stu” Stewart in 1980.  Stu and his wife Peggy worked tirelessly to build their business for the next decade. Jim McCord took over as general manager in 1990 and has continued to lead the company for the past 18 years. In late 2006, we left our Tempe location of 26 years and moved to our new building, in order to provide both our customers and our staff with an improved experience.

Today, managing partners Jim and Lori McCord along with operations manager Chris Mitchell run the firm based on the same founding principles that have made our company the premier choice for businesses and individuals alike: QUALITY, VALUE and RESPECT for our valued customers.
